INGRIDEINTS

  1. Refined flour – 150 grams
  2. Butter – 150 grams
  3. Brown Sugar – 100 grams
  4. Castor sugar – 50
  5. Eggs – 200 grams
  6. Baking powder – 5 grams
  7. Soaked dry fruits – 100 grams
  8. Ginger powder – 5 grams
  9. Cinnamon powder – 3 grams
  10. Nutmeg powder – 3 grams
  11. Caramel colour – 5 ml
  12. Mixed fruit jam – 10 grams
  13. Cocoa powder – 5 grams

 

PROCEDURE

  1. Cream toghther butter, sugar and salt .
  2. Now add egg to the mixture
  3. Combine flour, all spices, cocoa powder and baking powder .
  4. Add soaked fruits to the flour mixture
  5. Add jam to the butter sugar mixture.
  6. Now add flour and colour . do not over mix.
  7. Drop the cake mixture on prepared pan
  8. Bake in double boiler and put sliver foil on top.
  9. Bake at 160 degrees Celsius for 30 mins.

PROCEDURE to soak dry fruits

  1. Take dry fruits of your choice.
  2. In a bowl preferably put your fruits and add brandy or beer
  3. Enough to cover the fruits.
  4. Soak for 9 months or a year but if in hurry atleast a week.
