Red velvet cake is a chocolate cake with either a dark red, bright red or red-brown colour. It is traditionally prepared as a layer cake topped with cream cheese or cooked roux icing.

INGRIDEINTS

  1. Refined flour – 100 grams
  2. Butter – 50 grams
  3. Sugar – 100 grams
  4. Salt – 1 grams
  5. Red food colour – 3.2 grams
  6. Eggs – 33 grams
  7. Cocoa powder – 6 grams
  8. Baking powder – 2 grams
  9. Baking soda – 2 grams
  10. Butter milk – 100 grams
  11. Vinegar – 5 grams

PROCEDURE

  1. Cream toghther butter, sugar and salt .
  2. Now add egg and red colour to the mixture
  3. Now add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder mixture, alternating with butter milk just mix until combined. Do not over mix.
  4. At last add vinegar give a quick mix .
  5. Line the baking pan with parchment paper. pour the cake batter
  6. Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 18 mins.
